Melissa is a highly experienced Social Care Consultant with over five years’ consultancy experience and more than 20 years’ experience within the Health and Social Care sector. Her career progression spans frontline and senior leadership roles, including Care Assistant, Registered Manager, Regional Crisis Manager, and Nominated Individual, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of care delivery at every level.

Her experience covers a wide range of service types, including Care and Nursing Homes, Domiciliary Care, Supported Living, and community-based services for both Adults and Children. Melissa has delivered consultancy support across these settings for many years, supporting providers with regulatory compliance, quality improvement, risk management, and service recovery.

Melissa is a trained CQC Inspector and undertakes regular inspection and audit activity across Care and Nursing Homes, Domiciliary Care, Supported Living, and Extra Care services. This gives her an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of regulatory expectations, inspection methodology, and evidence requirements under the CQC framework.

Based in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, Melissa is well-positioned within the Midlands and is able to travel easily across the UK. For larger or multi-site projects, we frequently work collaboratively — attending services together, adopting a dual on-site and remote inspection model (mirroring the CQC approach), or dividing coverage across cluster areas. This approach is particularly effective when supporting Domiciliary Care groups and franchises, large Care and Nursing Home groups, due diligence and benchmarking exercises across established brands, or when urgent regional coverage is required.

In addition to inspection and audit activity, our joint work includes business start-up and turnaround support; interim cover for Nominated Individual and Registered Manager roles (delivered as a managed package); and the completion of sensitive investigations as an independent and impartial party.
